Luxury Les Arcs Chalet Accommodation
Arc 1950 is a good place to find ski chalets at the luxury end of the market as most of the accommodation here is modern and offers top quality services and facilities. Another major plus of booking a chalet ski holiday in Arc 1950 is that most of the chalets are ski to the door and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town itself if you can tear yourself away from the hot tub! While most of the accommodation here is chalet apartment style, more authentic luxury chalet accommodation can be found further down the valley in Plan Peisey, Vallandry and Peisey Nancroix where old farmhouses and traditional chalets have been developed and renovated. Chalet accommodation in these areas are ideal for those looking for a more tranquil ski holiday in Les Arcs.

Ski-in Ski-out in Les Arcs
The great thing about skiing in Les Arcs is that many of the chalets offer ski-in ski-out accommodation - or at least ski to the door. If you want to guarantee this experience, it would be wise to book a chalet as high up the valley as possible - in Arc 2000, 1950 or 1800 - as villages lower down the valley can struggle with snow cover in a lean winter season. Tetra Chalet offers ski in ski out accomodation with a lovely cosy wooden interior and a spacious dining and living area.
Family Friendly Les Arcs Ski Chalet
Arc 1950 and 1800 are the most family friendly resorts as they have the most going on and both have excellent access to the Paradiski ski area. While family friendly catered accommodation is available here, it is more chalet apartment style than traditional chalet so if you’re looking for something a bit more authentic, head down the valley to the lower altitude villages of Plan Peisey, Vallandry and Peisey Nancroix.
Eco Ski Chalets
With so much purpose built accommodation in the area, you could be forgiven for assuming that Les Arcs is not exactly an eco-conscious ski resort. If you want to make sure that you are doing your bit to minimise your impact, make sure you ask the right questions when choosing chalet accommodation such as food purchasing and recycling policies, the types of cleaning products used, heating systems, and if it is a newly renovated chalet, their build techniques and type of materials used.
