An investigation has been opened into the death of a Russian woman in an avalanche on the piste in Les Arcs. The 41 year old lady was skiing with her family and an instructor on the Grand Renard piste on Friday 29th March 2013 when the incident occurred.

A court in France has banned the ski hosting service that many UK tour operators offer to guests on holiday in the French Alps. The ruling follows a legal case brought by the French authorities against Le Ski - a small UK tour operator offering the ski hosting service to their clients in The 3 Valleys.
