Children are made more than welcome in Les Arcs and there are a number of crèches and childcare services available. There are a couple of nurseries that takes children from aged 3 years, and a private babysitting/nanny agency. They do tend to be popular and so you should make sure you book well in advance. Children's clubs are also popular during summer and winter, and offer a range of activities for children of all ages. |

Les Arcs/Bourg Saint Maurice ski resort has been awarded the P’tits Montagnards label, the Ski France certificate guaranteeing high quality facilities suitable for children and their parents on holiday in the mountains. The resort has therefore undertaken a commitment to a charter that covers reception, the childcare facilities and equipment, ski instruction, safety and entertainment, designed for children and responsive to parents’ requirements.
In Arc 1600, childcare is available at Hotel de la Cachette, prices for children who are not staying there are subject to availability. It is important to note that there are no special rates for large families, nor reductions for the second week, or if you have a second child in the same facility. Important: a health certificate and BCG vaccine are obligatory.
In Arc 1800, different age groups are catered for in different buildings;
Les Lauzières Residence
For babies, simply going outside to touch the snow with their hands is enough to start them laughing and throughout the day there are short walks in the snow and plenty of time for them to play and rest.
La Nova Residence
For children aged 3-4 and above, the Pommes de Pin team of organizers offer themed weeks - educational activities which your children will be able to fully take part in. The organizers will take good care of your children, looking out for any signs of tiredness and adapting the programmes to suit their needs.
For children aged from 3 to 8 years. It is not just a 6- day (consecutive) ski course with qualified ESF ski instructors, it is also:
• Half day supervision (3 1/2 hrs including approx. 2hrs ESF ski lessons)
• Supervision in the child-care centre before and after the lessons
• Getting children ready: putting on ski boots, preparing to go outside (suncream, checking correct clothing, ski-pass, racing number...), taking the skis to the ski kindergarten, overseeing the start of the ski lessons, meeting the instructors and dividing the children into the different groups...
• Looking after the children when brought back by the instructors at the end of the lessons and taking their boots off, getting dressed again to go back to their families and drying wet clothes.
• Equipment loan for the whole course (skis, poles, boots, except helmets, strongly advised)
• 6-day preferential rate ski-pass
• Medal at the end of the course.
At Garderie Arc 2000, childcare is in Residence Les Lanchettes.
In Plan-Peisey you will find Le Chat Botté located at the Galerie Commercial. It is open every day from 09.00 to 17.00 and all children from 1 to 6 are welcome.
La Garderie Tom Pouce (Tom Thumb) is situated at the foot of Vallandry’s slopes and can cater for 35 children from 09.00 to 17.00 each day. Children from 1 to 6 are welcome; however only 3 children aged 1or 2 can be taken each day so it is advisable to pre-book.

| Summer Activity Club |
There are so many things for kids to do in Les Arcs throughout the summer that sometimes the only way to make the most of it is to enrol them in a summer club! The Les Arcs Club des Sports, based in Arc 1800, offers a huge array of activities for children of all ages.
Starting with the very young they offer a special nursery for 1-3 year olds with mini-trampoline, singing & music, arts & crafts, tobogganing and more to keep your little ones fully entertained. The Club Mini takes children between 3 and 6 years old for a range of activities including mountain rambles, picnics, swimming, judo, trampoline, painting and mini golf. For children aged from 6 years up to 17 the Club des Jeunes has more challenging sporting activities such as circus skills, tennis, water sports and mountain discovery; the Club des Jeunes is split into smaller age categories so that children are with others their own age.
Cards can be purchased for half-days, full days or the whole week. |
