| A |
Les Arcs is very much a family-friendly resort and welcomes children of all ages. From things that you can do as a family to activities that the children can go off and do with their new 'holiday friends' you will find plenty to keep everyone happy. Please see our Families & Kids Activities section for a few suggestions. |

Babies: Can I take my baby to a ski resort? |
| A |
Yes, you can take your baby to a ski resort but be aware that sudden changes in temperature and altitude are not recommended. Please scroll down to the bottom of our Families & Kids section for our top tips on looking after your baby's welfare in a ski resort. |
| Q |
Childcare: Are there any crèches/babysitting/child-minding services in Les Arcs? |
| A |
There are a number of childcare options available in Les Arcs. Please be aware that booking in advance is always recommended and that nurseries may want to see medical records and vaccination certificates. Please see our Childcare Services section for further information and contact details. |
| Q |
Discounts: Are there any family rates or child discounts on lift passes? |
| A |
During the winter season children between the ages of 6 and 13 years can get a reduced lift pass; children under 6 ski for free. Please note that for age-related discounts you may need to show proof of birth date. There is also a family lift pass available that offers a discounted rate to families of two parents and at least two children. Please see Winter Lift Pass Prices for further details.
Although there are no specific lift pass discounts for children or families during the summer months Les Arcs does offer a Multi-Activity Card, which opens up a range of fun activities at a reduced rate. Please see Summer Lift Pass Prices for more information.
In Plan Peisey you can find Le Pré Jeannot fun zone for children. Either after skiing, or during the day, they can ride on a rubber ring (cost is approximately €3 to hire for the day), on skis or on snowboards. |

School Holidays: When are the French School Holidays this year? |
| A |
French and British school holidays often coincide, making ski resorts extremely busy for certain weeks of the year. If there is a period when you can take a holiday and avoid the school break you should hopefully find lift queues, restaurants and other attractions much more tranquil.
French school holiday dates can be found in our Families & Kids section. |
| Q |
Skiing: At what age should my child start skiing? |
| A |
Most ski teachers wouldn’t recommend starting skiing before the age of three or four at the earliest. The right age will vary from child to child, and depends upon the child’s strength, co-ordination and attitude. For this age group skiing should remain a play activity, so don't expect a young child to ski all day - a couple of hours is ample.
