Lift Pass Options for Les Arcs & Paradiski - Winter
With such varied terrain on your doorstep, it makes sense that there are a number of different lift passes available that you can tailor to the ability and preferences of your group. All passes work with a hands free ski card that is now available free of charge when you buy your lift pass. If you want to save yourself some time when you get here, you can also buy your lift pass on-line here.
Paradiski or Les Arcs Lift Pass?
Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry Pass This is the local area pass that gives you unlimited access to all the lifts in the Les Arcs domain (including Peisey-Vallandry). 200kms of piste, 54 lifts and an altitude variation from 3226m to 1200m; if you are quite happy skiing at your own pace or perhaps have get back to meet your children from ski school for example, then this pass could be just what you’re after.
Paradiski Découverte For a few euros more, you can upgrade your Les Arcs pass to the Paradiski Discovery ticket. This pass is valid for 6 - 8 day durations only and whilst it covers the same area as the Les Arcs pass, it also gives you one day skiing in the remainder of the Paradiski area.
Paradiski Area The Paradiski lift pass sings, dances and can jump really high in the board park! If you like clocking up the miles and want to explore every inch of the available terrain then this is the only choice for you. Unlimited access to 425kms of piste, 144 lifts and 2 glaciers - anyone of an intermediate ski ability and upwards would undoubtedly get great enjoyment from this pass. For Paradiski passes of 5 days or longer, you are also entitled to ski for free for one day in either of the Espace Killy resorts (Tignes or Val d'Isere) AND in the 3 Valleys (Meribel, Courchevel & Val Thorens/Belleville Valley). Restrictions may apply so be sure to ask at one of the cash desks before heading out of resort.
NB. Both the Paradiski and the Découverte passes have 6 ½ and 7 ½ day options enabling you to ski on the day of arrival too!
There are also a number of other variations, making your lift pass more flexible to suit you:
1 day pass: If you're not sure whether you're going to be skiing every day, buy your lift pass a day at a time and ski when you feel like it.
1/2 day ski pass: if you only fancy doing a half day skiing here and there, then the afternoon pass gives you just that flexibility. Starting at 12.30pm, you can buy a half day pass for just the Les Arcs area or for the whole of the Paradiski region.
4hr pass: if you don't want to wait until the half day pass kicks in at lunch time, then you can get even more flexibility with the 4 hour pass. Valid for 4 consecutive hours and giving you access to all the lifts in 1600, 1800 (inc. funicular), 2000 and Villaroger (with the exception of Transarc 1 & 2, Aiguille Rouge, Grand Col and the Varet chairlift), your 4 hours begin from the moment you take your first lift. Once your time is up though, the pass will not scan at the turnstiles and you will have to pay to use any further lifts, so make sure you leave enough time to get back to where you’re staying!
NB. For these shorter duration passes, be prepared to queue up at the cash desks each day to buy your pass.
Beginners Lift Passes & Free Lifts
If you are a complete beginner, then it is likely that you will be joining ski school for most of your stay so it is worth discussing with them which pass option is best suited for their beginner groups. However, Les Arcs does have a few lift pass options specifically with beginners in mind:
Ski Points: a relatively recent introduction to the Les Arcs lift pass portfolio, the ski points system enables beginners to use the main lift in each of the following ski areas: Arc 1600: Combettes Chair Arc 1800: Chantel Chair Arc 2000: St. Jacques Chair
You can charge up your ski card with 2, 10 or 20 points at a time and each chairlift journey costs 2 points. Top Tip: These lifts are also free on Saturdays and Sundays!
Restricted Area Passes: if you're still pretty new to skiing then it is also possible to buy day or half day passes just for the lifts in certain parts of the ski area; EG. Arc 1600 + Arc 1800 (except Transarc 1 & 2), Arc 2000 + Villaroger (except Varet, Aiguille Rouge & Grand Col lilfts), Villaroger on its own and Peisey/Vallandry. So, if you just want to practice your turns for a bit on some of the resorts more gentle slopes, this pass might suit you.

Arc 1800: Lapin skilift, Jardin Alpin chairlift, rolling walkway (children’s area)

Arc 2000: le Lac des Combes draglift, Eldorador draglift, Rhodos draglift
Villaroger: Replat chairlift
Family Lift Pass Options
If you are travelling “en famille”, then Les Arcs is very proud to have been awarded "Family Plus Mountain" status for both winter and summer seasons. This means that the resort has been recognised for its high standard of accommodation, facilities and range of activities suitable for families and children. It therefore comes as no surprise that the resort also has special lift pass offers for families.
Large reductions are available for a family of 2 adults and 2 children (between 6-17 years), when you buy all your passes at the same time (minimum 6 days). This offer is valid on the local Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry pass, the Paradiski Decouverte pass and the full Paradiski area pass. Lift Pass Options for Pedestrians
Not everyone comes to Les Arcs to ski, and when there are such beautiful panoramas to take in and mountain restaurants to enjoy, we can understand why! Pedestrian rates are available for 1 and 7 day lift passes, season passes or instead, you can pay for an individual return trip on any one of the following pedestrian lifts:

Discounted Rate Passes
Ski "a la carte" If you’re a regular visitor to Les Arcs then you should enquire about the ski "a la carte" Carte Zen 2.0 offer for frequent skiers. This card is valid for 8-20 non-consecutive days and enables you to ski at a reduced daily rate. The card can be bought on-line for €29 (€15 seniors, free for juniors) and entitles you to 15% reduction on the adult Les Arcs or Paradiski day pass rate (increasing to 25% discount on the Les Arcs pass on Saturdays). It also offers 15% discount on day passes in neighbouring St Foy, La Rosiere, and Val Morel, as well as reductions in Val d'Isere, Tignes, Grand Massif (Flaine, Les Carroz etc) and Serre Chevalier.as well as special promotions and loyalty bonuses throughout the year. For example, you can ski for €1 per day on your 9th, 14th and 19th days skiing.

Seniors If you are between 65 and 71 years of age then you enjoy discounted rates on the standard adult lift pass prices. Visitors over the age of 72 simply pay a nominal fee for the duration of their stay; this lift pass is valid from 1 to 15 days and is extremely good value. The over 72's can also claim a big reduction on season passes and can travel for free on all the pedestrian lifts. Disabled Skiers 20% discount is also available for disabled skiers upon the presentation of a disability badge, and persons accompanying a blind or wheelchair bound visitor are eligible for 50% off standard rates.
Students With a valid student card you can get a special rate on Les Arcs ski passes on Saturdays only.
Groups If you are travelling in a group of 15 people or more, you can get 1 free pass in every 20 bought. (NB. This doesn't make much sense to us either, surely they mean groups of 20+....? But this is what we were told!) There is also a reduced rate Tribu Pack available for groups of 4 or more adults (aged 18-28 years) buying 6 day Les Arcs area lift passes at the same time. Extra Goodies With a Les Arcs or Paradiski pass valid for 6 days or more, you are also entitled to use the swimming pool in Bourg St Maurice and the ice rink in Arc 1800 for free! Lift Passes - Additional Information
Insurance It goes without saying that you must be properly insured before taking to the slopes, but you can also purchase insurance on a daily basis as you buy your lift pass. ”Carré Neige” is the instantly recognised mountain sports insurance in France that covers you for:
Search and rescue expenses, first aid and rescue transport
Medical expenses and repatriation costs (within France only)
Reimbursement of unused days ski pass (restrictions apply)
Carré Neige costs just €2.50 per day for adults (€2 for children).
Photographs Are only required for season passes and for Seniors (72 years +) passes of 3 days duration or more.
Loss or theft of your lift pass With the advent of hands free ski passes, you no longer need to worry about misplacing your receipt if your lift pass is lost or stolen. However, should this happen, report it immediately to the lift pass office quoting the ski-pass number (WTP number for on-line sales) from the back of your pass. Take a note of this number when purchasing your pass and keep somewhere safe just in case. Subject to usage checks, the lift operator will then be able to re-issue you with a new one on production of valid ID and €3 for the new card. Your original pass will be deactivated.
