Bus Replacements for Trains Still in Effect Between Moutiers & Bourg St Maurice

Damage to tracks from April's landslide still being repaired

In early April a huge rock fall and landslide saw tonnes of rocks fall onto road and railways lines in between Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice.

Since that time bus replacements have been in place and will continue to be so for some time to come.

If you're travelling by train to Les Arcs this summer, make sure you add on additional time to your journey to allow for the change over to buses. Buses are departing on average 30 minutes earlier than the train they replace, so be mindful of this when planning your connections to resort.

Information is available on the screens at Moutiers and Bourg stations, or you can speak to one of the staff members if you need to.

Work is taking place over the next 5 weeks to install safety netting to hopefully prevent any future rockfall reaching the tracks, and the line is expected to open again in mid July.

The good new is that if you're coming with bikes, they will take the bikes on the buses for you.

*Update 1st July 2015* The line is not expected to re-open until September 2015.
