Following over two weeks of sunshine and clear skies, fresh snow has returned to Les Arcs. It started mid-afternoon on Friday and continued through the night. By the time the lifts opened this morning, there was approximately 15cm of fresh snow across the mountain. The snow line is currently very visible at around 1400 metre, and almost every lift is open
It seems that Les Arcs is right in the middle of a snowfall sweet spot this Saturday, as not every Alpine ski area has enjoyed quite as much overnight powder as we have seen here. The new snow has freshened up the pistes beautifully and already added 10cm to the snow depth at every level. Conditions should be pretty epic, especially above Arc 2000 where both the Aiguille Rouge gondola and Grand Col are already open for powder-hounds seeking adventure.
We are expecting more snowfall in the next few days, so it should be an excellent week for skiing and snowboarding.
