Snow time like the present in Les Arcs

The sun is out after a very stormy week

featured in Snow report Author Sam Birch, Les Arcs Reporter Updated

Last week's news in the Alps were dominated by the weather with gale-force winds, blizzards and tonnes of snow in the mountains. The calm returned this weekend, which has seen some great skiing in Les Arcs.

The snow base is now more compact, making the runs faster, but there is also a nice and soft top layer that makes riding comfortable. There are currently 280cm of snow at high altitudes and an impressive 115cm at Arc 1600.

More snow is forecast this week, with some clear spells, as well as a stabilisation of the freezing level which will make the weather more predictable.
