When looking at timetables be aware that they're in French so L = Lundi / Monday, M = Mardi / Tuesday, Me = Mercredi / Wednesday, J = Jeudi / Thursday, V = Vendredi / Friday, S = Samedi/ Saturday & D = Dimanche / Sunday.
There are free shuttle buses connecting Arc 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000. They run every day from 07:00 to 21:25, with night buses until 22:00 on Saturdays.
Plan Peisey and Vallandry are serviced by a free shuttle bus service which runs every 15 minutes from 08:30 to 23:20. There are also free bus services from Peisey-Vallandry to the cross-country ski area at Nancroix.
The closest bus station to Les Arcs is in Bourg Saint Maurice, the town at the bottom of the mountain, which is also where you'll arrive if you're coming by train. Bus services stop at Bourg Saint Maurice, from where you can get the funicular or a shuttle bus to your final Les Arcs village destination (see below).
Buses from Chambery airport to Bourg Saint Maurice operate four times per day on Saturdays and once on Sundays during the ski season. It takes around 2h30 minutes to get to Bourg Saint Maurice.
Buses from Lyon airport run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the ski season and take around 3h00 hours to get here. They operate twice a day on Fridays, four times on Saturdays and twice on Sundays.
Buses from Geneva airport operate every day of the week in winter with six buses on Saturdays, four on Sundays and three on all the other days of the week. This route also takes around 3h00.
Buses from Grenoble operate five times per day on Saturdays and once on Sundays in winter. They take around 03h00 to get to Bourg Saint Maurice.
The mainline train station for Les Arcs is in Bourg St Maurice. Shuttle buses connect the station to the Funicular railway which goes all the way up to Arc 1600, taking only 7 minutes. It runs every 20 minutes during the winter, starting at 07:30 until 20:00 or 21:00 on Saturdays. In the summer, the funicular runs every 30 minutes from 08:00 to 19:00.
It costs around €14 for a return journey for adults or around €11 euros for a child return ticket. If you already have your ski passes you can travel for free. The funicular is also free for all children under the age of 5 accompanied by an adult.
On Saturdays, there are also bus services from the bus station to Les Arcs villages running from Bourg Saint Maurice from 07:30 to 17:45. They cost around €19 for adult or around €15 for a child's return ticket. You can buy tickets on the bus.
Landry train station is connected to Peisey-Vallandry via daily free buses. You'll need to pay for this service on Saturdays (€14 for a return ticket which can be bought at the train station). This service starts at 07:45 until 18:15.
Note that these timetables may vary throughout the year and during holidays so please contact the bus companies in advance to avoid disappointment.
