Les Arcs Resort Logistics
Les Arcs is comprised of four purpose-built villages at different altitudes: Arcs 1600, Arcs 1800, Arcs 1950 and Arcs 2000. There is a funicular railway that connects Les Arcs 1600 with Bourg St Maurice on the valley floor and the villages themselves are all connected by a free shuttle bus network, and of course the high-speed lift-system. There are also a number of smaller traditional resorts that are not serviced directly by the shared transfer routes or the public shuttle bus: Plan Peisey, Vallandry and Peisey Nancroix.
The resort logistics make travelling to and around the resort more complicated than in some more centralised resorts, so knowing which village and pick-up/drop-off point you're travelling from is even more important.
For Les Arcs resort, there are lines available from Geneva and Lyon Airports direct to Bourg Saint Maurice Funicular Station. From here, there is an easy connection to resort via the Funicular lift. Once in Les Arcs resort, you can take the local shuttle bus service to get you and to get you to your accommodation and around the resort. Taxis are also available (advance booking recommended).

Geneva Airport Route | AlpSkiBus
To reach Les Arcs from Geneva Airport, you will travel directly to Bourg Saint Maurice Funicular Station. From here it's a short journey via the Funicular to reach the resort. Only the bus ticket to Bourg Saint Maurice is included in the booking, you will need to purchase a Funicular ticket separately.
- Leg 1: The Geneva - Bourg Saint Maurice shuttle is operated by the AlpSkiBus line. It runs throughout the winter season. From here, you will need to take the Funicular to resort.
- Leg 2: The Funicular from Bourg Saint Maurice - Les Arcs 1600 runs every day in the winter season from 07:30 - 20:00 only (at time of writing). You should check the opening times before booking your flight and bus tickets to ensure you can complete the journey.

Lyon Airport Route | LYS'Express
To reach Les Arcs from Lyon Airport, you will travel directly to Bourg Saint Maurice Funicular Station, where you will get the Funicular to resort. Only the bus ticket to Bourg Saint Maurice is included in the booking, you will need to purchase a Funicular ticket separately.
- Leg 1: The Lyon - Bourg Saint Maurice shuttle is operated by the LYS'Express line. It runs throughout the winter season and takes 2h40. From here, you will need to take the Funicular to resort.
- Leg 2: The Funicular from Bourg Saint Maurice - Les Arcs 1600 runs every day in the winter season from 07:30 - 20:00 only (at time of writing). You should check the opening times before booking your flight and bus tickets to ensure you can complete the journey.
